SunPower shares jumped Wednesday after the solar manufacturer revealed that increased revenue from big solar power plants and rooftop systems could bring its first yearly profit in three years. As it is, the shares have more than tripled thus far in 2013. In a statement, the company said that revenue for the year will be in the range between $2.6 billion and $2.7 billion, which would surpass the $2.42 billion posted in 2012 and the $2.57 billion average of 15 analysts’ estimates in the current year compiled by Bloomberg.

On Wednesday, the firm said that several North American enterprises in a diverse range of sectors that include banking, high tech, retail, and government have adopted BlackBerry 10 and BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 as part of their mobile strategies. The increasing number of organizations testing, adopting or restating commitment to BlackBerry as their Enterprise Mobility Management solution, include: ING DIRECT, Canadian Tire Corporation, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Ricoh Canada, and Torys.
Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI): Current price $3.59
Sirius said Wednesday that the country music star Trace Adkins will perform at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York City for SiriusXM listeners, members of the Red Cross and the USO, today as part of the SiriusXM Sounds of Summer. The live concert broadcast will be broadcast on The Highway, channel 59, at 8:00 pm Eastern Time, and will feature Adkins performing well-known hits as well as songs from his new album Love Will… Senior Vice President and General Manager, Music Programming, SiriusXM Steve Blatter commented that “throughout his 15 year career, Trace Adkins has become one of country music’s respected hitmakers and performers. Trace is one of the key artists of contemporary country music, and his influence on the genre is without question.”
